The Evergreen High School 7v7 Passing League is broken down into two brackets. The first bracket, called “Black” will be comprised of each high school’s varsity “1”s. The second bracket is called “Green” and will be comprised of all other varsity and JV players. While there will only be one team from each school in the Black bracket, the Green bracket could have multiple teams from each school. Each high school coach will determine which team bracket his players will be assigned. Teams will only play within their own bracket.
The Freshmen Passing League is for rising 9th and 8th graders. The league is meant to provide players their first taste of high school football playing with their future high school teammates. The high school coaches will oversee these teams and begin to introduce their offensive and defensive schemes making the players transition to the high school program in the fall an easier one.
The Skills Camp is for Quarterbacks, Running backs, Receivers, Tight Ends, Linebackers & DB's. Players will warm up and run drills with their high school teammates and then compete against players from other area schools in
The PIT camp is for Lineman, on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball as well as Tight Ends & Linebackers. Working on the fundamentals and footwork to give players an edge to excel. With blocking, stunting, run stopping and pass rush, technique is very important. You will get help in mastering those techniques and improving your skills to get you ready for fall.
The Team camp is a way for teams to come together and train. The focus of the camp will be to develop team level concepts in preparation for the fall season. These concepts and schemes will be instilled and reinforced in competitive drills with and against teammates and players from other schools participating in the camp. Teams will need to provide helmets and shoulder pads for this camp.
The EFL Freshman Team Camp is a great way for rising freshman to start preparing for the fall season. We know that the transition of entering high school is a big one for our kids and even more demanding for football players with an earlier start. We feel this is a great way for young players to get acclimated with a higher level of training and to meet and develop bonds with their future teammates. It also provides an opportunity for the high school coaches to assess their rising freshmen against other local area high school players. Teams will need to provide helmets and shoulder pads for this camp.
Paul Troth and Evergreen Football have partnered to offer an intensive six-week Quarterback Academy that will consist of WEEKLY on-field and classroom small group training. The classroom sessions will be a combination of grease-board and film-study work. The field training will be highly competitive and intense. It is designed to quicken your feet to make you a threat in the pocket.
We will also work to enhance your pocket presence by putting you through game-like scenarios. Not every throw is going to be from a clean pocket; you must be able to manage chaos in the pocket and still make the throws on time and accurately. Finally, we will clean up flaws in various drops and throwing mechanics. This attention to detail will ensure your feet and your throwing mechanics are on point every single time!
